@jifdave and @smokeysmoo are big lads, maybe they can help

Rose do big frames but you have to buy from Germany

This is a U.S. Site but might give some pointers

Hi , Hello , i'm new to this site and yes my first post is to ask for help !! So here goes some back ground , i'm 54 and up until 2001 was very fit then i had a serious accident , well from it i broke my back i had new hip and 2 new knees !!! yeh i know you didnt need to know all that but now to the reason you have heard many times before,I'm over weight at 20 stone i'm 6ft 8 inch tall and want more than anything to go cycling like i did before when i played rugby and cycled to get and keep fit.
Ive approached some stores and from the Ahh we cannot help to the bike will have to specially built with price tag to match, So you have the gist of the question where, and who do i contact to buy a bike that i can use to commute take away with me and basically cycle again.
Please names of retailers who can help........................"a big thank you" hope it makes sense what i'm asking

I'm also 6'8 and was 20st until recently.

I ride a 65cm (3xl) canyon and fits beautifully.
I bought mine from the canyon outlet and saved a fair few £.

They currently have the 2014 road lite 6.0 for just over £800. Which is even less than I paid for mine. https://www.canyon.com/en/outlet/list.html#category=road-bikes

My biggest and best piece of advice is get hand built wheels. I had my wheels built by Harry Rowaland for £250 nhttp://www.harryrowland.co.uk http://www.harryrowland.co.uk and they are still going strong after two years. Although the rims need replacing now but not had a single spoke pop and I have ridden circa 2500 miles a year.

I sold to the mavics from the canyon to a club mate for £120 so the whole bike inc hand builts cost under £1000

@kevin01041961 @vickster is not wrong, but at 'only' 6' 5" I'm afraid I'm just not man enough to assist ^_^

Seriously though, I do find that I can get away with 'standard' sized frames. My CAAD10 is a 60cm for instance, and whilst I have changed the stem, (longer), in terms of geometry everything else is fine.

I was going to suggest Canyon but @jifdave got there first, and with sage personal advice to boot :okay:

Good luck though and I hope you get it sorted quickly.

PS: gb155 who started THIS thread you also posted in doesn't post anymore. Others might to be fair but I just didn't want you waiting for a direct reply that's not going to happen.
