YES !

Another £50, my second one from them.

A hollow victory as it has taken over a year to get this second £50, the first £50 took about two years. Umpteen surveys in that time as well.

Anyone else do this?

I seem to have been getting lots and lots lately about what I watch on the telly that isn't much. Also lots of surveys about smartphone related nonsense, I don't even own a smart phone! And lots on newspaper reading and shopping at supermarkets

It would seem therefore that;

• That the advertisers for TV adverts are worried about where they spend their money.
• Newpapers are all likely to start charging to view online.
• Smartphones, err dunno, I don't have one.
• Supermarkets are in decline as more people simply cannot be bothered with the hassle of going to them and instead use "local shops for local people".

No, I think I'm probably the perfect Yougov customer.
Signed up for it, did a few, got bored, gave up.

If most people do that, then they don't have to pay out, it's a superb business plan.
Well done for sticking with it, enjoy spending it!

I did the mysurvey.com ones I think it was. Lasted for a year or so and got bored of them too. Probably got about £70 over that time that I chose in either paypal vouchers or ones that I used in B & Q for something. I found them pretty boring and repetitive and eventually couldn't be bothered with them so cancelled.

Time is time and my free time has a much higher price than yours.

Wrong, mine is priceless.

But yes, the going rate is probably something silly like £5/hr doing the surveys. Your opinions do count though and hopefully goes on to shape policy and decisions.

I got one payment of £50 over a year but it was so mind numbingly dull that I gave up doing them

Tip: if you want to get rid of survey callers, just start by telling you are in MR and 9/10 at least you'll be excluded. We screen out MRers, marketeers, management consultants, PR, advertising...so you can use any of the above with elacrity

If they get uppity, just tell them to go read the MRS code of conduct which I recall has some rules around conflicted respondents

I've been collecting my sporadic £50 "earnings" from YouGov for several years now. The surveys are now as dull as ditch water but I keep clicking.

I signed up to You Gov in order to contribute my views on the issues of the day eg nuclear power, welfare spending, leaving Europe etc, but all I got were survey after tedious survey about supermarkets and newspapers. After a few weeks I'd had enough and cancelled my account.
