I made a special effort to go and get this today. Faringdon Folly in Oxfordshire, overlooking the A420 around halfway between Oxford and Swindon.

MBIFO Stansfield Tower aka Blacko Tower - a surprisingly famous folly. Built in 1890, allegedly so the builder could see Blackpool Tower. In spite of it's quite low vantage point, it can be seen from a great variety of places, but can neither see, nor be seen from any part of Blackpool.

Not sure whether this should be in here or in the 'places it shouldn't be' thread, as this is a little off the official right of way, but anyway, the Folly in Raby castle north wood, discovered whilst I was lost one day .
