A slightly different angle/spot near the Col de Romeyer... I'm grabbing a few days down here. Nearly four years ago there was a forest fire here that burnt through 380 hectares, and that seemed bad enough, but there's one about 10km away that is currently very much out of control and has burnt 1000 hectares already, and no sight of getting it under control, with strong northerlies and no prospect of rain. All rather buttock-clenchingly sad.

Still, the forests will recover, just not completely in my lifetime.

That said, this is a nice view.
