Been a while since I posted....
This is Waterloo Mill in Huddersfield, an old textile mill on the Huddersfield Broad Canal. It is now a Gym. It doesn't look much better from the front BTW!

Old mill in Nelson (now J12 retail). Pretty sure the oil tank is a left over from the mill days & positioned so it could be filled from the canal

It absolutely would have been, Oil was one of the last things still to be transported by Canal - there was a big depot on the Aire/Calder Navigation near Allerton Bywater that took delivery from the East Coast.

This is the site, when I first went riding past it in around 2009 or 2010 it was still in use. Derelict by 2024.
