Small bridge over an un-named stream just before it joins the river Yvel near Kermagero.
I dropped the bike off at the LBS for a service later this afternoon. I told Tony where I’d been today – and he told me that he’d cycled over that bridge, turned left and linked up to the much higher Voie Verte – “steep? …like riding up the side of a house…”
I’m pleased I found this bridge. I remember looking for it 20-odd years ago with one of my stepsons (Kit). In one of its earlier incarnations, the GR37 was routed over it … but that was many years ago (and had probably already been re-routed when Kit and I were looking for it in the early 2000’s).
Dangerous to try and access this land in early winter because
la chasse are all over it – and it’s usually impassable because of flooding in January/February.
