Great tit flying away from feeder
Camera is a PH280 Trail camera from Wildkamera
It's a lot better than the previous one and the pictures are a lot clearer and it's no harder to set up so all good.
One big bonus is it can take 700+ mixed pictures and 10 second videos on the supplied memory card where as old one could only do 350 with a 4G card that we had to buy extra.
Likewise. Several years back loads and loads on sunflower hearts feeders but not seen one for a few years. Their decline corresponded to neighbours getting 3 cats all of whom are intensive hunters. You might think so what ....but we used to get loads of them regularly. Then for some reason they disappeared. This was the 1st for years.

Got home yesterday just in time to hear next doors hen calling madly and the ravens wheeling in from the trees. Nipped round there sharpish just in time to stop a Buzzard kill the best hen. Got within a metre of her as she was not inclined to move. Hen survived, but has flashbacks.
Looked out this morning and Sparrow hawk sat on the gate. I wonder if the wet weather has been affecting them.
My impression in recent years is that flooding has a big effect on hunting territories. When we had big floods back in - what? 2022 was it? - I suddenly started seeing Barn Owls on my commute. Since then I've been looking out for similar changes*.Got home yesterday just in time to hear next doors hen calling madly and the ravens wheeling in from the trees.
