Looks like a cat might have had it, they kill the poor wee buggers but won't eat them for some reason. I sometimes find them in our outside cat run.

Common Shrews which is what I think it is, taste bad and will sometimes face down a cat. Also they have a poisonous bite.
I think the only UK mammal with that adaption.

Been gardening over in Numpton this morning and bought 3 black bin bags of garden waste back with us.
When I emptied them out I found this snail attached to the bag , so quickly marked it and then set it free in our rear garden

Well it's certainly wild (and possibly livid with whoever dealt it its fate), but the 'life' bit maybe a bit optimistic as rigormortis seemed to have set in. Poor Hartley, for he is no more 🪦. I did the decent thing and removed him from the road to prevent a complete mashing. He'd probably make a decent hat to be fair .

I chucked it on the grass next to a fence so something will no doubt have a nibble. It's a road I ride down most times I'm out, so I'll see if it's still there next time 🤢.

This part of Germany is famous for having a Mediterranian climate, and with it, Preying Mansissis...is. This chap was hanging out on my apartment wall and enjoying the sun.

I mowed the scruffy 'lawn' in front of the house and had to move some rotting logs at the edge to do so. Found these underneath, I'm assuming eggs of some sort. About 3-4 mm diameter and maybe 50 of them? Anyone able to identify them for me.

PS Google suggest they are slug eggs.
