This afternoon I had a walk on Dartmoor. I parked up from Cadover Bridge at the imerys china clay area. My plan was to walk up to Great Trowelsworthy Tor , then over the moor to Hen Tor. Hen Tor is about as secluded as it gets on the southern side of the moor. It was me , a few sheep, cows and horses.
At the pool that feeds the china clay facility there were 6 Goosander.
I also saw Wheatear, skylark, meadow pipit, buzzard and raven.
There was lots of heather around in places, and I eventually found a round leaved sundew.
