Found burrowing around in my garden whilst digging over a corner this afternoon.
I have no idea what it is apart from being a bug! 🐛

A couple of firsts for me this morning

First up is this family of greylag geese walking along a busy road, I tried to usher them back to the hedge but the adults kept telling me to hiss off

Next up is a vole that was trying to dig itself back underground whilst being watched by a cat . I eventually picked it up and placed it in the hedgerow. First time I have seen a mole.

An Ashy Mining Bee.
I have a photo but it's no good. Sat outside hospital with my wife, I noticed a black bee buzzing around over the grass, frequently landing and burrowing in the grass..which seemed quite odd.
Seemed odd, googled it...now I know given the name.

Beautiful daughter and I spent a while on our Balcony watching a couple of Red kites flying overhead.

The local crows were less impressed.

Father in law saw 5 Ravens trash a crows nest last week. I bird watch frequently and have never seen 5 together. So how do they plan to get together to do something like that. There is so much we don't know.

Blue tit chicks in my nest box have hatched - parent birds back and forth tirelessly feeding them

Sparrows in 5 different sized boxes, one intended as a tight insulated overnight box for blue tits in the winter, another in a Wagtail box with a huge opening, another in a triangular box at the point of the garage and one in the bloomin great tit box. Then to cap it off Tawny Owl in the Kestral box. They obviously have not read the RSPB guide to bird boxes.
