Similarnto the other day, antrip to our local country park.
Before that, i shot over town to trear myself to some new binoculars..Hawkes Nature Treks 4x42, mid range I guess , really nice clear.optics compared.to ny old ones..

My house backs onto a country park. I have used/walked much of it but today I extended my walk and was glad I did.
There were just a couple of patches of Grape Hyathinth (according to my phone) but they were really colourful.

I think this is the same bird of prey that we saw take a chipmunk. in Massachusetts, U.S. it might be a Cooper's Hawk? or Northern Goshawk?

Male Coopers hawk (14 - 20") or a Sharp-shinned (10 - 14") , I believe. The cap looks Coopers. Picture is a bit blurry to be sure. Does it have yellow legs?

We have loads of them and they can spread like wildfire

Really. I know next to nothing about different plants/flowers. From what i saw there were just 2 small clumps of them. Seeds dropped by birds maybe ?
