Assuming the dogs were out already, I would save nothing, cos its just stuff when all said and done, and one can always get more stuff, possibly better stuff than which you left behind.

Oh wait there is one thing, the only photograph in existence to my knowledge of me, my mum and dad.

Eckshoooally I think I might do a digital copy of that, just in case.

Reminds me of one of those Amazon reviews for something like the Bobby Davro wall plaque, where someone had said that when their house got burned down they were only able to save two things, so they took this and one of the twins.

My memory is terrible, so by the time I get downstairs, I'd of forgotten what I went down for... I'd go back up, and probably get roasted.

So - your house is a blazing inferno (from which you might escape if you are quick enough).

Assuming your children/beloved are not in the building (and that Elvis left long ago).

What do you save ??

Just one possession 'only' 1.

This can be an item with very little monetary value - large or small priceless or worthless.

Why do I ask ??

(Maybe so I can work out if it's worth robbing your gaff while you are busy submitting posts to daft threads on CC) ??

But not...

For me (if it had to be just one) I would have to be my Paul Reed Smith guitar.

Because it plays & sounds sweeter than all the others regardless of value.

Absolutely.
Ditto but my RED fender Telecaster ( y2k Corona California model with maple neck) & the "cheesy little amp" with the sign on the front says fender Champ that it leans against  reen toon teen toon teen toon tee nooh nee nooh neee
