Previously known as Cheesney Hawks
Laser Scanning Operator. Using a surveying scanner, or a precision arm mounted scanner for components. The software is the hardest part. I've been doing this for about 18 months. Steep learning curve.

Prior to this I've worked in factories. I don't miss that at all, nice to visit factories, and not have to work in them.

IT engineer

I have been so lucky that I got into IT when it was in its infancy

I owe it all to my first computer, the ZX Spectrum and then progressed to the Amiga and then got a job that had a few PC computers which I learned by buying a book and reading it on the bus to and from work

The rest is history!

I would say that when I first saw email, I never thought it would catch on!

I work for the big blue box in a global role, plenty of travel.

Thinking of packing it in and taking an easy “retirement” job; any suggestions?

Was an electronic engineer, now working in care.
Although I'm currently in the middle of three months pay in lieu of notice, and so I'm jobhunting.
When I'm not wasting time on here, obviously!

Fantasy shattered..

There was me thinking we had a real live Time Lord on the mods team...

If you enjoy working outdoors and have an eye fore detail (aka OCD), then landscape gardening, golf course/sports ground/park maintenance etc. Collecting supermarket trolleys from the car parks.
