I haven't had spam for 30 years, when it used to get served up grilled every now and then at he local caff. How d'you cook it?

My fave was always fritters at school. :tongue:


Very rare i cook it myself, normally it's from a greasy spoon. If i do cook it myself i normally just grill it. I would say the local caffs fry it as it can be quite greasy on occasions.

Two rounds of Warburtons extra think bread plastered with Lurpak butter and then slices of thick cheese with a coating of strawberry jam. Pedal miles with that inside you. Swilled down with a mug of tea.

I remember my dad making these when i was a kid - blooming marvellous AND My local chippy serve these, got to be the best chippy in Britain in my humble opinion (that could start a new thread entirely.)

Sandwiches.

Toasted Brown bread, streaky bacon with tinned tomatoes and white pepper

or

Gammon ham with somerset Brie, pickeled beetroot, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce mayo and black pepper on brown bread

this could go on all night....:hungry:
