i would also accept crispy edged bacon on white with butter (no sauce)

dripping butty with a pinch of salt, has to be off the roast you cooked the day before mind.

That would go in a burrito. My fave in the US recently was pulled barbecued pork carnitas, chipotle salsa and guacamole - off a (slightly middle-class) mobile taceria.

Bread 1/2" thick roughly cut, buttered and then folded leaving one or two chips peeking out.

Toasted Burgen bread with peanut butter and sliced bananana. I could happily OD on these.

I will sometimes have a ham sandwich with cheese & onion crisp, bit more upmarket I know but that's how I roll

I don't eat meat these days so bacon and sausage butties are out.

I do like fish and/or chip butties.

My favourite healthy butty would contain houmous, salad and olives.

Can't believe no one's mentioned bread, butter and Nugatti (or any chocolate spread)!

Otherwise good ham with Coleman's mustard in brown or white bread.

Thick slices of freshly homemade bread and butter with thick slices of Cheddar cheese and a large dollop of home-made chutney.

And the no. 1: brown/white bread with butter, bacon and Daddy's/HP/brown sauce.

All followed by a large mug of Tetley's/Yorkshire/PG Tips/ of course, and then repeated.

also bacon butties where I put the bread on top of the frying bacon so the taste goes right through the bread
