Are mini baguettes allowed? I thought not but I'll press on anyway.

Get a ten inch baguette, not covered in seeds or other rubbish, or wholemeal either (shudder). Slice lengthways and remove about 30% of the soft bread inside. Compost this if you must :rolleyes:. Chop off the ends of the stick and discard. Butter with NZ Anchor butter and insert three rashers of bacon, about four sliced tiny tomatoes, Hellmanns mayo, and some Colmans English mustard. Add loads of salt and pepper.

Go to the beer fridge and extract a 500 ml can of Belgian-brewed Stella. Sit in the sun and eat your snack. Consider how wonderful it is to be alive.

Wholemeal bread or a baguette for the lot of em.

Bacon , egg and melted cheese with salty chips on and the special sauce (tomato sauce and salad cream mixed together) if it was sold at a major outlet chain they could market it with the slogan "a heart attack in ever Bite"







Got the idea from "Man v Food" ,, that has to Be the Best foodie program on TV , stick your sat morning chefs , your cockney wide Boy and the rest of them , get more Adam Richman on TV

What makes the perfect butty for your? Hot or cold.

Mine is either a Sausage loaded with ketchup/brown sauce or a Sandwich steak (steak canadian)

I always thought we were the king s of the Butty here in the UK, But if you want a proper one you need to watch the Americans make one ,,, they have it down to a fine art.

Some favourites from my vegan days, which still do the job:

Lightly toasted rye bread, peanut butter, sliced banana, chinese toban jihan chilli paste.

Warm wholemeal pitta, hummus, pickled red cabbage, black olives, mango chutney.
