Looking East from the ruined abutment of Lands viaduct over the Gaunless, the pathway curving round to the left of the river is the trackbed of the former Haggerleases branch line.

Another one from last night's ride, on the track at the end of Scotland Lane looking east. 7:30pm and the shadows are starting to lengthen!
This gloomy tree covered end of the lane now requires a flashing front light (to be seen) as well as the rear and may soon need a proper front light to see!
Despite doing many night rides in the past I don't think I've ever been down here in the dark, let alone round my now regular loop. Still no sign of the Minorca or his missus 🐓

I was casually sitting leaning on my top tube when I took that. Moments later it all went horribly wrong and I fell on my arse. I don't think anyone saw, so it didn't happen.
