Chucked two bikes in the car, headed to London. Parked in West Kensington, and wife and I rode up Hyde Park to meet my daughter who had entered the Royal Parks Half Marathon.
Traffic along Cromwell Road was terrible but in a kind of perverse way I enjoyed it. My wife was terrified and at one point got off and walked! Rode through the park, beautiful day, and watched the runners come in. Then with a few friends we had a small picnic. Fabulous. Then the short ride back through the traffic to the car.
BTW, here's a link to my daughter's Just Giving page. Please donate to her chosen charity, Motor Neurone Disease Association. A close friend and work colleague of ours is a sufferer from this terrible disease, and the MNDA give him great comfort and support.
