Blue skies but a bit chilly when you pick the speed up, a steady 80 miles with a couple of club mates. Out to Silverdale nice cake and cappuccino back across to Scorton before the final leg home. Biggest ride of the year for me and 2nd ride in my CC Buff.

110Km in the Leicestershire/Northamptonshire sunshine, would have been longer but I have to save something for the commute tomorrow (76Km round trip)

I went for a morning cycle 16.5 miles Edinburgh to Linlithgow to burn off a hangover; it was then 21 miles (the CC Central Scotland Ride), a really good lunch and then 17miles to Dunfermline with a nice tail wind (54.5 miles in total).

just 21 miles for me today, went and practised the tt course ready for tuesday night, managed to average 19.5 mph for the whole ride, and there was a little bit of a headwind on the way back, and also I was not trying very hard on the to anf fro sections from the tt course, so I am pretty pleased, hoping for an average of around 19.8 for the real thing on tuesday, or even better to break evens, but tht will only be if I have a really good day.

Well - Here goes!

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on the site despite appearing in a couple of Lardyboys previous ones. I did a hilly forty miles today - kind of 'half a Dragon Ride.' I climbed over Gilfach Goch to Blackmill then through Ogmore Vale, over the Bwlch and up to the ice cream van at the top of the Rhigos. It was then time to head for home which fortunately was all downhill. The weather was stunning with great views 'off the tops' Time for some pies now to ruin all the good work.

I thought I would just go to Linlithgow and do a couple of loops from there, came across this rabble in the Tesco carpark

and they just followed me around all day!

There maybe a few factual errors in this story and I am sure there will be someone along to correct them soon. Either way it was a great ride. Hint to HLaB, GPSs work best when you turn them on...

I only did 16 miles today. I was going to go out for longer, but it was surprisingly windier than I expected. I got fed up of battling head on winds or nearly getting side swiped by cross winds and came home instead (and not once was the wind in my favour!). I nearly got blown off after one cross wind caught me out unexpectedly

Tea, early to bed with a book, then up at 5 for another 20, then to work at 7:30.

There was a forecast of snow for us in the south, but something went wrong and the sky was a funny blue colour, was a bit breezy though...

Lovely clear blue skies in Cornwall today with little or no wind. So I managed to get out and do 45miles.

Went from Hayle-Penzance-St Buryan-Lands End-St Just-Zennor-St Ives_Hayle.

Distance 45miles, in a time of 2hrs 30minutes, with an average speed of 17.9mph and a top speed of 42.6mph! My legs are getting better, compared to the flabby

Did my customary late arrival at a York CTC 100km Audax event and gave the field a 12 minute start. It took me 17 miles to reel in the lantern rouge but good time management at the cafe/controls moved me up the field. Wiggington to Boroughbridge through the Vale of York. Things got lumpier from RTipon to Fountains Abbey and onto Ripley. Once the clim up through Nidd was over the last part of the ride back through Linton on Ouse and Beninborough Hall was a breeze.

Fantastic weather. Sun was out all day. Got round in under six hours. I'm happy
