Club ride... 70 odd miles on the Moulton Standard.. Malvern, Tewksbury [ where we got mixed up with the Tewksbury half marathon ] Bredon, upppppp Stanway Broadway for chips and tea at Roberto's , then back to Malvern via Eckington locks where I was hassled by a stroppy lock keeper because I tried to use the swing bridge [ part of the right of way ] and he objected, police informed about the aggressive behaviour and the rights of way and his employer will be in the morning, what a pratt...
Nice ride apart from the Troll at Eckington. Lots of cycles out, good to see and the Moulton behaved itself [ for a change  ]
Steve.

Nice 18 miles jaunt after work...bugger its windy, but luckily a head / slightly side wind (gusting at 25 to 30 mph), and even better, much of the ride is banked on the windward side, which seemed to deflect it over me. A struggle, but could have been worse.

Not only heard, but actually saw a cuckoo
My ride took me on the verges of the Nene washes, a series of floodplains, lakes and fields...good cuckoo territory. As i rode alongside a lake, i heard him, slowed in the chance i might see him in the trees....and he flipped out and flew along the lake 50 yards in front of me.
Goldfinches, ducks and possibly skylarks along the path (its very open but remote countryside, away from the town, cars, roads....everyone)

Pretty sweet ride today. 42 miles at 19mph in shorts and ss jersey. Not too bad considering my lack of miles this winter. A bit windy but nice and sunny, even caught the sun a bit on my arms!

just short of 40Km on my new bob jackson 631 frame bike. Basically was supposed to be a short ride to see if I've got the sizing right/ gears set up ok. Was a lovely ride so I went on a bit longer than expected. At 30KM I found out that I didn't tighten the left hand crank arm enough. Tightened it up as best as I could and rode home. Would probably still be out if I hadn't encountered this teething proiblem!

It was really nice weather again a bit windy but very warm and dry. I went for an enjoyable ride with a mate no idea how long or fast it was as I'd forgotten to start the computer and when I realised I couldn't be bothered; but it was fun.

Out for a quick hour after work tonight. Stiff east wind on way back home. Took the dog for a nice walk this evening before dusk. Sunset was worth seeing.

I can feel the turbo coming out soon....its been a while since it was dusted off.

I left work, it was already starting to rain so I thought I'd just have an easy 10 mile spin home and a relaxed evening (I've had a two tough rides already this week). But half way home I came across a couple of the lads from the club we had a chat and I ended up doing 40 miles with them. Thing was it was tipping it down after an hour and so, inevitably, the pace went up in order to get home - except they were on their training bieks and I was on the commuter, complete with panniers. Glad I did it though.

Went out after work as I don't mind the rain. Planned on doing a quick 20 miles and pop round to see Fairweather who's got a week off!!!!!

Anyway the point of the post. Got in a little "argument" with a passenger of a Jeep Cherokee. As I was approaching a set of traffic lights, which were on red, this idiot decides to overtake me. He can't go anywhere as the traffic is backing up and so he decides to squeeze me almost into the kerb to get out of the way of the on coming traffic. I just manage to accelerate past him and turn my head to give him a loud "TW*T". The lights change at that moment and we're away. A minute later the Jeep comes past with the "lady" passenger gesticulating and telling me I shouldn't be on the road. So I ask her to show me in the highway code where it says that and give her the "finger"

I always thought the rain stopped the idiots coming out, but obviously they're too stupid to notice.
