Well I'm trundling down the Mosel River in Germany laden with luggage and full of cake and smarties. You can read my reports in my thread in 'rides and touring' or whatever the forum is called. 44 miles today along some very nice scenery - vineyards, rivers, quaint towns...

bimbling about in the afternoon...
I had forgotten what speeds you can get up to on urban roads drafting 1/2 awake drivers what with all the buildings giving nice wind protection..
woz in right gear to nail a wvm otr who took it nicely on the chin.. bless 'im

next out later after traffic calms down for 20 mile rural circuit

So I've not ridden a bike for 5 weeks due to chronic back pain and being away with work. Today I actually have a day off (woo hoo), but I only arrived back from Canada on Tuesday am, so I still have jet lag. I just managed to do 30 miles and no back pain!! I'm going to try and do 50 tomorrow...

This time last year I was knocking out an imperial century every Saturday...;)

Another rapid 3hr 100km (103 actually). Only 875m of climbing but more of a wind on the same route as 5 days ago.

Good weather for tanning too...

18 miles extended commute, a mix of rush hour town traffic and then into the countryside. Saw another Red Kite on the verges of the city...again, much closer to town than i've seen them before.
Otherwise...a nice pacey ride, enjoy mixing it with the traffic, enjoy the quiet of the country.

another 10 mile PB tonight, down to just 25.50 for the 10 having done a 27.09 on the first one and then a 26.16 on the second one

times heading the right way, roll on the 24 ;)

A quick 51miler after work on the Sirrus. I quite pleased for the reasonably hilly route 3400ft of climbing I managed to average 17.3mph , I'm sure I could have done better on the Bianchi. It was really nice weather albeit a little windy (I averaged just 16.2mph for the first 26miles out into the wind and 18.7mph on the way home with the wind behind me). I was a wee bit worried about the light so I done it non stop; 50 mins later its still light ;)
