Lovely ride along the north side of the Pentland Hill, started out expecting it to be cold and damps, but the sun came out and I found I was rather over dressed.

Went up passed Threipmuir Reservoir

then wended our way along the other reservoirs, mixture of roads and tracks, bit muddy in places. As it has been a warm wet summer, thought it worth going slowly and keeping an eye out for Chanterelles, came home with 1.8Kg of them...

Just be called to eat some...

Been a bit busy lately and not done much leisure cycling, but the weather was so good I just left the work behind and took a 20 mile circuit. Had a few stops along the way to eat roadside brambles. Visited a harbour and had a pleasant stroll there and a blether with fishermen as the sun was beating down. The atmosphere was particularly clear giving fine views of the hills. Much harvesting activity in progress on the lower ground. Carried on to a regular cake and tea stop and found it was closed:sad::thumbsup:. Anyway, had a banana and carried on towards home.
A most enjoyable afternoon.

Great afternoon riding to Edinburgh, then over to Dunfermline. Weather really good.Returned via Kincardine and got a train at Falkirk. Did a couple of loops of Wishaw to complete my first 100.

well chuffed.

Very windy today, i caught up with a cyclists on a mtb. he was cycling like mad, jumping on the pavements and weaving in and out of heavy traffic.
He then nearly got hit by a left turning car which he tried to undertake.. he could have easily have slowed down. which in turn caused a massive traffic jam, he catches me up at the next lights and straight after a bus is pulling out (he had plenty of space and right to do so imo) but the jackass decides to cycle in the bus's blind spot and expect the bus to stop pulling out. he then persistsed to shout at the bus driver. no need what so ever. that ticked me off and i just stayed behind him cos you never know what a nutter like that is going to do.

Fairly brutal winds here ....16mph gusting at 34 mph :becool: so a short extended commute, and no more.
Depressing innit...it feels like summers over

Bloody awfull winds, according to the Met Office it's 24mph gusting 37mph.

Just think if it was like this all the time, we'd be going around like it was a nice breeze.

I did 21 miles today and that was enough, 15-16mph into the headwind had me call it a day and turn round for home.

Went out for an hour after work. Wind is what the met men would call "bracing"!

Ended up in Limeslade Bay where I took this photo on my phone of the bay,

A little bit "choppy" I believe is the phrase for those brave enough to go out boating.
