Managed to drag my Dad out with me, and managed a 19 mile loop around Coydon/Surrey. I've only ridden this route once before, and my Dad's furthest is 11 miles!! Anyway, we both got back in one piece.....bring on 25 miles!

Went for two rides. First was a 25miler, met some other cyclists whilst I was riding and rid a few miles with them. Second was a similar route but not the same, and it was 20miles. Had bad headwind for the 2nd ride.

Hilly 33 miles - the 2 hours was a good indication.....over 2500ft of climbing......

Chest felt very tight, but thought I'd see how I went.....Out via Higher Poynton & Potts Shrigley - OK felt reasonable. Then came Blazehill, Rainow then up to Saltersford..... choice here, up the 25% climb near Lamaload or head to Goyt Valley.... Goyt Valley it was, except I'd forgotten about a certain Pym's Chair....argh.....

Nasty climb, 25% in places. By now my left shoulder was dieing, so had to stop a couple of times on the climb to rest it, before continuing - not been 'finished' off by a climb for some time.....

Got to the top, and swung down towards Whaley Bridge then home - totally spent by then.

Pretty windy up there !!

Struggling for motivation lately  Sit there agitated cos i can't be bothered, agitated cos i want to go out...
With a little encouragement from SWMBO, out for an hours blast. Pushed hard and on the hour i'd got an average speed of 17.7 mph.
19 miles total...pleased that even though i havnt pushed hard lately, or really done the mileage...i'm pleased with 17 mph plus

Did 80 on the fixed today, through Eccleshall, Newport over to Telford and back. About 30 from home a bee flew through the vents on my helmet and stung me. I had a lump the size of an egg on my head and a throbbing pain down one side of my face all of the way home. It still ****ing hurts now and it happened at 9.00am this morning!!

A nice steady 14 miles...left work and off to the crematorium to put some flowers down for my brothers birthday tomorrow. Sounds sad, but the weathers nice, it's calm and secluded out there...a very worthwhile ride. No rush, no aggro and back home for tea.

Mine was just a quick cycle to the gym for a swim, then home again, so probably only about 6 miles in total

Sorry to hear about your bee sting and so sorry to hear about your brother

not a bad commute in, saw a countach as well, that was a nice way to end the ride.

That's bloomin amazing , i saw one on my fitness ride the other evening.
Parked outside the Haycock Inn in Wansford (its a really quite posh hotel / pub / restaurant)....owned by the Chelsea director that got killed in his helicopter locally this last year.
Think it was a Countach...something quite special anyway.

Last after-work MTB ride around the local common before the clocks go back. I don't have lights on the MTB and had to pedal like a demented hamster to get back before lighting up.

After work rides on the road on one of the lit bikes until next spring...
