Aye, good to see the Herety you and the Herety today.

I'm not sure if Dan really went abroad or got his tan from here and it's washed off in the shower.

Dan had a good hol..... he had some colour in those pistons...... barsteward....

I can't get me legs out on me road bikes..........very hairy and white.....despite commuting in shorts.... I don't tan, and I look like a hairy ape....... not a good look............

115km from Wetherby to York and back via Tadcaster, Ulleskelf and Selby quite enjoyable but the edge was taken of the ride by headwinds and the last remnants of a cold. That's 24 Audaxes completed this year. Probably won't reach my target of 30 by 1st Nov as I've got some busy weekends coming up.

A gentle 94 Km mostly between Glasgow and Edinburgh, just me and 7000 other cyclist, did notice there were one or two CycleChat jersey out and about. Then down to the shore in Leith for a couple of pints....

There was an Audax that went through Selby and Ulleskelf?

Aye and it goes past Nicky Nacky Lane in Cawood!

I ride a lot of Mesh Audaxes - a variant of permanents. I was using the Wetherby, Selby and York nodes on the mesh to get 100km but I chose my own route between the nodes.

I passed through Ulleskelf on the route between Wetherby and Selby: Wetherby, Boston Spa, Tadcaster, Ulleskelf, Ozendyke, Cawood, Selby then along the York-Selby cycle route. A flat ride but not very forgiving when theres a headwind as there's little to shelter you from it.

Other nodes in the area include; Howden, Thorne, Askern, Pocklington and Stamford Bridge and further afield; Bridlington, File and Scarborough.

Go to the permananets section on the AUdax Website and look for the Eastern Peak and Plain Mesh permanents administered by Simon Ward.

!6 of my Audaxes this year have been based on the Eastern Peaks mesh.

Did the Bike the Blackwater run yesterday in Co. Tyrone in brilliant weather-100kms and believe it or not in the company of two other CCrs--Lesterpiglet and dMoan. A bit like buses-wait for ages and then three turn up!! The craic was great as was the run!

saw a car driving through streatham with a flat tyre, the guy just kept on wanting to go.
I was riding near home once...and saw a girl in a car whose rear wheel had locked up...but she was still going
I'd imagine the handbrake wouldnt release on one wheel. Hope she wasnt going far, i could see about a 300 yard track of rubber on the road behind her

this guy was doing about 6 mph with his hazerds on. so he knew it was flat. don't know why he was doing it but it looked like he had his kids in the back. better get them to school.

Bloody awful, 32 miles out my left foot became numb & aborted the ride, thankfully not to far from home, killed off my 50mile ride though. I have the imprint of the cleat support bracket on the sole of my foot, though mostly disappeared now. The moral of the story is cheap SPD compatible shoes are cr*p.

Commuted this am, then from Glossop across town to Salford, which was good fun in the traffic, to see my mum who had a new knee put in yesterday - it's a bit sore! and then home.
