Going down the Thames towpath, after an afternoon of MTB madness in which Master James B had cut his leg and had to go home, I was approaching 3 bikes strewn across the path so diverted to avoid them and the back wheel went under from me, no twitch or warning it went, so there's me sliding along concrete, I was even going fast as I had slowed down for the oiks bikes [I had to stack it opposite a skiff club], anyway an elderly couple who where walking down the towpath ask how i was [ I was winded and probably more embarresed for stacking it], the old guy then has a right rant at the oiks blaming them for my accident, saying if they hadn't strewn there bikes across the towpath I wouldn't have stacked it [bravo old bean], anyway bars and saddle a bit twisted, so manage to align them and cycle home, not a tear on my longs or cycling shirt but elbow and knee cut up. So the 15 miles of mtbiking [which was fun] not a mark just one bug strike, go down the thames towpath WALLOP. Sitting aching atm but going out for a night ride to stop myself stiffening up
, and it was a very nice sunny day.
