Dry here this afternoon, day off, so a blast for 26 miles.
What occurs to me is i cant match the speed i was achieving two years ago. Ridiculous really because i dont want to punish myself as much as i used to....then monk to myself i dont go as fast as i used to. Can't win !! :welcome: and ive only got myself to blame. :bicycle:

I had a nice 20 miler from Singleton to Bosham sat by the harbour for a bite then back. It was a flat ride for a change but the headwind going out was as bad as any hill. Very nice ride and my new favourite route.

15 miles, missing the showers, even had a spell of sunshine.
Using the MTB that belongs to other 1/2 'cos I am precious about mine in unsummery conditions.
Had adjusted seat yesterday.. couldnt have tightened up clamp enough... every 2 miles stopping to hoike up seat as it had sank down bit by bit until the pedalling crushed my thighs.. no I didnt have an allen key with me....it did dawn on me to do last 6 miles out of the saddle when I got fed up of stopping.

To think we nearly sold it a few months back.. I am getting to like the hefty beast

Extended commute both ways today at a brisk pace....traffic was well behaved, gentle breeze and all's well with the world.

60 miles on the Bianchi, lovely sunny crisp autum morning, blue skies hardly any wind..most excellent. Up from the coast inland up to Pulborough then down to ford and littlehampton, no punctures, no near misses, feel I could do more now..erm..but all th ekit is soggy with sweat and ...ok I'll stop there:laugh:

Painful, again but reasonably quick & just under 30 miles... cold too, took the wrong gloves & should have had overshoes on.

Note to self; climbing steeper inclines is BAD for now

Did just over 11 miles in 54 minutes on my MTB (three minutes slower than last week on the Boardman). My first proper run with the clip-less shoes and pedals. Very impressed so far. Also first run out for the Night Vision waterproof which impressive as well. I am now set up to start commuting as its 11 miles to work and I intend to do it one way to start with until I get the shower situation sorted.

20 miler on a nice sunny but cold cloudless morning (love thermals) pretty much nothing happened apart from the odd slippy patch, oh and someone else clipless moment waiting for the bridge the close.

can't say much for the weather now ... it's real dark out there B)

Rode to Gatwick with the one I love. She'd not ridden for three weeks, and it showed, which she found disheartening. And then, after tears, Pownalls Road. She rose like an angel. And kept going.

After a brief coffee in Caffe Nero in Reigate (which gets a plug because they let you take your bikes inside) it was - you guessed - Lonesome Lane. Now, peeps, you can engrave this in stone....

riding down Lonesome Lane in morning sunshine under trees coloured all shades from green to red, with the apple of your eye on a bike beside you is the best that life can offer. There is no more delight than this.

Mine was nothing like as enjoyable or heart-warming as Dellzeqq's but was notable for being 6 days in a row commuting after a weeks enforced rest and all were done free of knee pain. Which has pleased me a lot.
