Your ride today.... (part 1)

Came home in a good downpour, its wet but it is just part of "cycling".the grey colour of my socks did not go down to well though .The bike is now sitting in the shed in need of a good clean which it will get tomorrow when wife and son go out and i can fettle in peace .

Nads really suffering on the new bike as i cant seem to get the seat right no matter how i tilt it.

Two absolutely wonderful rides today. One at breakfast, one at tea. Neither more than a couple of miles. Both with Tunk in tow.

Wondrous little fella he is. Sits in the trailer all chirpy and smiling.

Funny you say that I stripped off when i got in and chucked it all in the basket. Pulled it out a short time ago to put in the wash, my still wet white underpants were a lovely shade of grey on the back .
Rain ? when you accept you're going to get wet, its quite fun.
Helmet, gloves and shoes are all in the airing cupboard drying off for tomorrow. The weatherman was right this morning...rain at teatime.

Did a nice hilly leg stretcher this morning about 12 miles but felt more! But I went out on Tuesday night with the local CTC group for the very first time and did 20 miles nearly bleedin' killed me BUT I DIDN'T get off and push knackered afterwards and managed to lose my rear light and break my front light (they were only cheap rubbish but still...) so this week have cranked up 65 miles wooohoo

My leisurely spin yesterday afternoon was fairly short - 15 miles or so. Should have been longer but I was interrupted by a regrettable - er - [thread=60497]incident[/thread] so I cut the ride short. But I can report that the spring and early summer flowers are out in full profusion, bluebells were in abundance and I saw my first (for UK) Early Purple orchids of the season.

Picked the bike up from town, then did 45 hilly/cold/windy/fully panniered up miles as a shake down test ride.

Note to ALL potential tourers, get Schw*lbe M*rathon Pl*s tyres, they're the dogs. Good roll to them, very sharp handling and comfortable.

I did our annual Devon Air Ambulance charity cycle ride today ... 24 miles and 8 pubs on route (which you have to stop at) had a great day out and managed to catch up with some old school friends that i have'nt seen for years

had a great 25 mile ride through brundall,strumpshaw, blofield and back to norwich. Lovely weather missed the little shower of rain we had whilst in a cafe eating our lunch couldn't have time that any better.

About 30 miles, with a good deal of drizzle and headwinds, capped off with my train back being cancelled due to an incident on the line.
I haven't warmed up yet

42 miles on a new route. Started with a minor climb called locally The Galliebank (2.5 km at 4%, not an average of 4%, just 4%) over to the coast and following the coast road to St Andrews. Rolling but not exhausting just leg sapping. Wind for the north 14 mph was chilly +7 at best, in fact it was like winter, leggings, 3 season gloves and wind proof top.

Lot of motorbikes racing about, some got very close and I have trouble understanding why. No need, I can only assume they are motons who are having a mid life crisis and may they have a some insecurity about their manhood.
