As to the actual bridge, the more you delve, the murkier it gets.
I'll settle for occasional visits to this local attraction, and leave the real story to history.
The Hellfire Pass is a much closer feel of what went on, and really brings it alive, if that's the right term.

After dodging showers and doing 2 x short and very uninteresting laps of the Estate AM and PM yesterday;

……this Morning was an altogether different day 😁

Gorgeous Autumnal start - slightly crisp, but no wind, sun out on our 6.30am ‘out the door’ (And very comfortable in shorts and t-shirt I was too) for a walk around the magnificent and local: Gunton Hall:
