If it had to be a thing, though...

You know, I'm struggling to think of a thing. I'd probably just bung it in the bank and use it to pay for day to day stuff, knowing I could afford more treats.

(£500 quid on the other hand, I suspect I could think of more stuff. It's the same every year at Christmas, I can never think of things that are within the sort of budget I'd dream of asking for).

£50 is a difficult sum. In bike terms, it does not get you a lot, so I suppose if I had to choose it would be a decent padlock for the bike. I also would probably blow it on a nice night out. But as Arch said - spending £500 would be much easier.

still got £50 towards a night away gift from my parents from last xmas , so would put it with that and get a night away with the other half

I found a pub near Settle doing a special offer of a night's B&B for two for £36 and £14 would just about cover the cost of getting there, but since I'm off the beer and am not well enough to do the walks I'd like to do when I got there, I might as well spend it on ...


... 6 month's worth of Warfarin prescriptions!
