Zefal no mud mudguards

Saw these in a LBS thought they would look good on my new bike (a carrera subway ltd) any opinions on them?

They look good, but the rear will still allow road crap to get thrown onto the front mech...Ok, not as effective as full SKS guards, but they look good and are a nice design.

I have the Zefal Trail Hybrid/City Mudgaurds on my hybrid, they are steal for £8.99 and look great. They also offer pretty good protection. I had to modify the front mount a little to fit on my fork. Great for little cash.

Yeah it was yourself that recommended them to me on a post I put on here a while back, so I bought some. Great gaurds though and a bargain, look way better on a hybrid than SKS chromoplastic's, and much better performance than the MTB type ones that attach to the seat post and downtube. I have had both of those prior to these on my commuting bike. The Zefal's are a superb cheap compromise for performance and looks.

Do these fit 26 x 1.6" tyres that are fitted on my bike or are they for the 700cc that hybrids also are fitted with?

I have them on a Carerra Subway 1, 26 x 1.25 IIRC. They will fit fine.
