You're middle weight, given enough training you could easily see 250W for an ftp which would give you a W/kg 3.2. That is front of C cat or middle B cat depending on the type of terrain you prefer.

I'm a 3W/Kg which gives me a good Cat C or maybe middle Cat B on flat terrain racing

Something to aim for I guess!

I'll do a new FTP tomorrow night and take it from there I suppose.

Of course, you then have to be able to hold close to FTP for around an hour (depending on the race distance) and put in hurtful spikes when needed. All part of the fun :smile:
That's the whole point of FTP, if you can't hold it for an hour it's not your FTP.

Not really. Very few people can hold their FTP for an hour. This topic creates pages of posts - so probably best in a new thread if it needs debating :smile:

Just got a summary of last nights ride....2nd last in a crit race on Zwift.

- your peak 3 second power was 416 W -

- your peak 5 second power was 404 W -

- your peak 10 second power was 400 W -

- your peak 1 minute power was 246 W -

- your peak 5 minute power was 191 W -

- your peak 10 minute power was 180 W -

- your peak 20 minute power was 170 W -

- your peak 60 minute power was 169 W -

Good bench mark to compare my next few efforts against
