Just finished stage 2 this afternoon - sneaked into the top 200 (199th) by a last mile push at the end and made up about 15 places.

Only my 2nd event but managed to stay in a group this time rather than being dropped in the first descent.

Happy with my time 52.38 and av power 243w.
Are you on ZwiftPower? If so, and you're not linked to a team already, link to the Cyclechat team and your time will show on there - Pete can then take all times from ZP as the Zwift timings are often different :okay:

Nice time by the way

It's a bit annoying when that happens but I think it's best to let the flyers go. Seems there are still a lot of people on zwift that just do not understand the Cats. I just stick with the beacon (assuming there was one).

When you planning to do ToW stage 2 .... time is running out!

Surprised given it was an Audax. Not surprised by other group rides and so wouldn’t normally complain.

ToW2 May have to wait- still can’t get HR up near max. Just being cautious and may do on the catch up days

I've decided that I'll be doing the Team CLS summer crit series starting next week (practice race) and supplementing that with one outdoor endurance/ climbing ride and one interval type workout.

As it's sort of starting next week and I haven't rode this week I've just come on zwift for a one-off race. It started well with me sat at the back of the A cat for a few km as a C rider. It was a bit fast so I started dropping back to the next group of mainly Bs... went to pick up my drink and nudged my ANT... massive drop out.. it was only 16 miles too, was doing well. Ah well, currently rolling through my last 10 miles to reach 600m for the year so far, feeling quite sorry for myself!

Loving Pritchard's videos, I think he's very funny. Has anybody seen anything similar? I used to watch a few of Cameron Jeffers' but gone off him and also was it Jesper Anker? But he went to Cycling Hub who weirdly seem to have zero videos? Any recommendations?

Going to do my Stage 2 ride tomorrow afternoon - there's three choices: 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. Do you think it's better to go for the one that has the most entrants, as that's going to give me more opportunities to draft? I'm going to be one of the ones who is getting lapped by the likes of you lot on here, so I'm going to need all the help I can get!

Based on a five lap Volcano race I did once (went round most of it in a group of 5-10 riders, but didn't get a power-up every lap), I'm hoping for a time around 57 minutes on an 8 lap race. But then I did stupidly do a 67 mile IRL ride today and that has left me absolutely spent, so we'll have to see how it goes.

Probably go for the one with the most riders ... this should give you the best chance to keep grabbing on to wheels. Good luck. :okay:

The hills are coming Lee .... then revenge will be yours bwaa ha ha

I haven’t looked ahead at what stages are coming up but no doubt they’ve thrown in the Alpe. Me and the mountains aren’t best of friends so there is plenty of hope yet.

Did an Irl ride today - the sun was out and I took the bait - I’ve never been as cold in my life. Heart rate wouldn’t / couldn’t go more than 120bpm for most of it. Glad to be home. Might stick to this indoor stuff another month
