Aaac- if you click on the race you want so you have a tick and going by the side of it
- then ride where you want , a message will pop up saying about joining race 5mins before it starts , or you can join if you click on “ join event “ in bottom left when that pops up. You will soon get the hang of

With 900 riding I expected to be in the draft most, if not all, of the stage. So I shot for a steady state just above FTP.

30:35 with watts just a hair over FTP.

I'll probably ride it again a couple more times. It's short enough that I think there's still a few more watts to give. I may even try a rabbit start and hold on as long as I can.
My aim today is balls out early and push hard and see how long I can hold on. Be nice to get an average watts over 260 for 30 mins. Gonna make it a good v02 max session :okay:

I'd echo this. My biggest fear about the weekend is how my shoulders/neck hold up!
There is a Dorset 65 miler in 2 weeks that, weather being ok, I'm planning to do. Also a couple of SS rides out doors, again once the weather warms up a bit :cold: I always suffer sore shoulders and neck when outside, so feel your pain

That is something I've experienced quite a lot over the years. The bike fit I had at Epic Bikes when I got my Cannondale SystemSix recently seems to have helped a lot in that respect. Strangely, the guy dropped my bars a bit and I felt the tension reduce in my shoulders, as he said it would. After my recent 125 miler I had hardly any soreness or aching in my shoulders/neck. The other advantage is the position is quite aggressive

Updated league table including all rides over the long weekend. Let me know if anything is missing/incorrect.

@AAAC 76C - If you fancy joining the league just add yourself to ZwiftPower so we can see your times (join the CycleChat team). With your reputation I reckon you'll be keeping Alan company in Cat A.

If the weather forecast is correct I may do Stage 5 at 5pm or 6pm. Otherwise I'll put in a couple of hours steady rw riding. Stage 5 looks a quick one!

That's interesting as I tend to ride pretty sat up. I had a bike fit last year that improved things but I think it can take a few longer rides at the start of the year to build up those muscles so that they can cope.

What time are people doing stage 5 tonight? I'm planning on doing it at either 6 or 7......
I'm booked in for 5 and 6. I see Lee is 6 and I think @TurboTommy was talking 6 too. I'm planning my fast attempt at 5, then a re-run at 6, maybe on a TT bike at what ever power I have left in the legs just to get some extra miles in.

@CXRAndy is 3 secs ahead of me in the league, and just completed stage 5 in 29:03, so my target tonight is 28:59

That was crap. Trying really hard ,max heart rate all the way, but speed wasnt there, at no time was I alone. Also with 0.6mile to go, the counter started going the other way right back up to 1 mile, then dropped to 0.5 and counted down again-very odd.
