Brilliant. What an experience.

Now who is organising a spring Mallorca trip?

Not me! :hello:

I’m well up for it though. Lots of the guys here have done Majorca already so I’ll happily leave it to someone else more qualified than me to plan it. I guess we decide if we want a villa, apartments, or all stay in a hotel, and take it from there.

Sublime ride. Looks like they re laid it for you too.

Unreal route isn’t it?

Apparently there was a race up there a couple of months back so they re laid it. It’s only used as a sightseeing loop, no heavy goods vehicles so it’ll stay imaculate for years I guess.

I have footage of us ploughing along it if anyone knows how to upload video from drop box?

Upload to YouTube Tommy, full HD to remind us that have had the pleasure, plus to entice others:okay:

And now - the end is near and I face the final curtain ……
What a holibob
Done my best to annoy Tommy but he still puts up with me
Ticked a mountain off
Saw the tour
Got some miles in the sun
Only thing missing was a few people who would have made it perfect
Even met a fellow ccer smaller ,lighter and older , I mean nicer than me
This little cheeky chappy View attachment 597944 View attachment 597944
And wot a nice bloke ( but don’t tell him )
It’s coming to an end now sitting in a bar listening to the girls singing and thinking another successful meet up even though damn COVID got in the way
Till next time and hopefully a full house
Strange how your Wilier looks different. Surely that's not another new bike?

I think cavendish and Merckx are such different riders that one breaking the others record is borderline irrelevant in a conversation about their greatness. Two unquestionable legends of the sport. One modern, one from a bygone era, winning stages in different ways. I just hope people talk about cavendish with the same reverence as they do Merckx in years to come. The way he wins sprints I think even now is just a master class.

I would of liked to see him up against Caleb Ewan who I think honestly probably would have an edge over him these days. But I’m glad for the sake of the record cav, has had a pretty clear run at it this year.

I believe Merckx to be the all time great of professional racing.

Titles are there to be broken, Cav is on the cusp of tour greatness.

Cipolini is the greatest of the Giro with 42 wins
