AFter a fair bit of procrastination I've decided against the HEXR helmet and am about to pull the pin on the Specialized Evade. Any comments before I do so?

I have the evade in white and black. Personal preference but I think the black is probably more versatile. One of the reasons I like it because it fits my oval shaped head pretty well. I can wear a medium where as for example with the Kask protone or giro synthe my head is just too big for medium but the large feels a bit too roomy in comparison to the medium evade. The helmet I’ve bought most recently is the abus game changer which I really like. It’s also about half the price. But quality wise I don’t see any noticeable difference in finish. Other than the evade comes with a magnetic clip for the strap which is really handy.

My advice is buy a few different hamlets in a couple of sizes and see how they fit the shape of your head. Then send the rest back. Also the evade is relatively old design wise. I think it’s still pretty much top of aero tests. But I think they’ll bring out a newer version next year.

Re the jersey ... is it worth us giving the 'job' to 3 people who want to volunteer to come up with a design. A bit like the H&H's we did last year, leaving it to the captains and we all agree to their decision.

If we have 3 volunteers, and we all agree, then whatever they come up with is our new jersey (I assume this is how real world clubs work too).

But ... another question ... if we're calling ourselves Splitters now, should we change our name in the WTRL league too now to the same ... So Splitters #23, Splitters #68, Splitters #99 (or similar)?

I know what you mean about too many cooks… but personally I think I’d want to be able to say yes or no to something before I sign off on it.

Regarding the cc teams good shout about the name change. For what it’s worth a lot of team 23 aren’t sure they can commit to the next season of the league. So I think it might be time to re boot the teams depending on who’s available. I think we might be down to one team in B.

I suspect we might end up with a B squad of approx 10-12 members, but with most not available each and every week.

I was after white, but black is in stock and white isn't. I prefer the look of black but was thinking of visibility.

I think the best bet the way things stand is either one team, or two teams in the same time zone so that the roster can be relatively interchangeable between the two teams. It’s hard to know without knowing exactly who’s signing up.

I’d like to race, but it’ll depend on whether it clashes with the velodrome riding I’m doing. Bridgy is going to struggle to make tuesdays. I think Pete is going to struggle for the next couple of months too.

Maybe we need a team manager who picks two teams each week depending on who’s available.
