It’s not ideal for a lead out really to be fair. Not that it doesn’t look like a great course for racing on. You might want to decide on a road captain? Everyone gathers around him out of the gate, and then when he gives the signal, say anytime at his discretion, after the first 1km (?) the race proper is on. But no big attacks straight off the bat, or the road captain is at a disadvantage.

Just my two cents but last time we did this myself and Alan were ‘road captains’ and it worked pretty well like that.

Maybe roll out up the climb and it's race on at the top? I don't mind setting the pace up the climb being the heaviest rider nowadays. Then we drop the flag on the descent and all hell breaks loose!!

Damn ... I fancied my chances with the Bs on that climb .... guess I'll roll with the rest of you instead of unleashing the power within

I don’t think the whole hill should be neutralised to be fair. I just think it’s easier to start the race proper going up that hill than it would be to stay together going down and then start the race proper further on if that makes sense. So plenty of time for you to still file it out going up!

Road captain sounds good. Where the race starts might depend on the size of the lead in I guess? Would be good to keep everyone together long enough to sledge
Sledging? Not what us boys do in C ... we're gents, we are

my old buddies at RWB (aka Team Ireland) are putting on a new 4 week series - Saturdays at 1115am. Not ideal timing for me tbh - I usually prefer to get my cycling done earlier at the weekends. But if others are interested I'd move things around.
