As examples:

My best ever indoor minute was 492W, Outdoor 622W (done this year)
3 minutes 349W 416W
5 minutes 324W 388W

I have 2 decent fans, fuel and hydrate well. I don't have any rockers etc.

I think it is to do with the different inertia and dynamics. I jumped on my outdoor bike for the first time in a while last week in Devon and it all felt so much smoother and easier.

Hey ho ^_^

That's an absolutely massive differential though isn't it? Nearly 25% in one minute power

How did you generate that table?

On intervals. Power > Power curves > ensure both indoor and outdoor are ticked on the right column
Then Untick everything except All time on the left column

Then you'll probably need to add some time intervals to the default ones...
Click Best Efforts (top right)

and add the time intervals you want in your list. I use these...

It then takes all your data ever and gives you all-time bests.
I'll try and do something similar but it'll take a lot of manual inputs.
Hopefully you shouldn't need to if you do the above.

It really is. I did notice the first year i Zwifted, when I skipped indoor for 8 weeks in the summer it was incredibly hard coming back.
I decided it was probably better just to keep it going in future years, which I have done.
Indoor and outdoor seem to use slightly different muscle groups. I expect outdoor recruits more variety of muscles because of the freedom of movement.
Certainly when I'm going for a sprint segment outside I'll be on the drops and the bike will be rocking all over the place with plenty of extra arm input. You just can't do that indoors even with a rocker plate. But the difference between the two is a lot less for me than Martin.
