Cheek! I think if you check the times you will find I was pulling away from you on the climbs;)
Apart from that great ride.
Glad your back is sorted. I reckon you are just about over your accident. Huge difference between this and our last race:okay:
thought you might comment on that !^_^ - i still havent got the hang of the hills yet ! i leave it too late and lose places at the beginning of a climb - seems like you have to start trying 10 seconds before the climb , but i will get there ! - i know i was chasing one of our shirts most the time

A lot of people use the ZSun shirt so could have been some random stranger.

Read the ZwiftBlog on race tactics - he does some nice write ups on tactics of racing on Zwift and a good one on how to attack the hills. Seems it is a real skill to time it right so you stay with the pack and not get dropped and have to work really hard to get back on again.

Lee your times are super consistent, only 10 seconds difference between the first and last climb times:okay:. I was hoping Paul wasn't going to pass us(me) when the A cat guys went by. Enjoyed the race even though it's not my forte:rolleyes:
I got stuck in no man's land for one lap and was eventually swept up by the group behind, where I stayed with mostly to the finish

Nahh, you did fine on the hills and speed hardly tailed off so I would say you had it about right. Pace into anything less than 6% is supposed to be good but otherwise you lose momentum so fast it’s not worth the greater effort until the incline starts. It’s not bsim. I always forget to drop onto the 34 just before it hits 10% so lost Pace and was caught but not overtaken before the line. Amongst the C’s I placed1st On kom but the guy who caught me was 3s faster but I will take second in our race. Though if I am honest I would rather have finished.

The other shirt was Rob Taylor.

Racing in Zwift has been good for pushing me out of the comfort zone I was getting into in bkool I think. Not that I wasn't trying hard in bkool races, but they are mostly shorter there was a lack of competition to push me on (a few who were too quick for me usually of course but I would tend to end up doing my own race).

These 50 minute Zwift rides are hard work, and the different style of riding is harder at the moment too.

I think that's why I cramped up - I'm working harder than I have for a while - which is a good thing (sort of!)

Well that hurt can hardly walk, legs was sore from the last couple of days so i knew i wasnt going to do great, missed judged the start so wasnt in the main group but kind of glad i wasnt from the sound of it.

Spent a while in no mans land and saw i was about 15 seconds ahead of a group of around 6 so slowed slightly for them to gain and joined them, we all worked well a couple of times i would just put in little digs on the flats and inclines to show i still had a little some thing left which was kind of fun, seen Jeff and he was able to join our group but wasnt able to hold on when it got hilly again.
Next person i saw was Andy at first he was 45 seconds ahead but slowly reeled him in to 8 seconds when i thought do i burn my very few matches in catching him up or leave him be so i decided to let him have his fun by him self and his new friends.
I thought I found a good place near the end to launch my sprint but as soon as i started i knew it was to long to the finish line and so lost about 5 places:angry:.

I realy need to have a days rest or if i commute by bike to take it steady so i feel freasher than i did tonight, but it was good knowing that there was so many of us racing in the same cat and wearing the same kit :okay: although not all together it did feel we was.
Well done all :hugs:

I knew my legs weren't going to have much in them, but I was able to stay with the group for a little while and enjoy seeing everyone in the adopted kit together up at the front!

By the time we did the KOM I knew it was going to be a long ride -- I was getting passed by everyone. I rode when I could with whomever was nearby. At one point I lost a little group and realized Dean was closing in. I tried to share the load with him a little as we were starting to form a new little group. But I just didn't have it in me. I slogged my way through the remaining miles without really pushing hard.

I'm hoping to clock in one more ride before we head to Kanab. Then 4-5 days of rest for the weary legs.

Dean, you were obviously below par. Rest and recovery mate.
