Very close indeed Paul. Most who have compared the two trainers say that climbs are quite accurate, it's downhill and flats where a difference appears
I think I would agree with that - plus it's on the transition between gradients where the bkool gives a speed advantage - probably because it's slower and less accurate at applying the resistance

This is where I see an advantage, or at least where I can grab some time back on others. If the power is kept on when going into a slight ascent then I can sometimes make up 10 seconds plus on others. It feels to me that the resistance is instant (and too high sometimes hence the dead stops) but I've not used other trainers so have nothing to compare against. If you look at the Bkool marketing, assuming I'm reading it correctly, they claim that this is intentional and only their trainers have realistic momentum.

Interesting that your climb times are faster on the Neo compared to the Pro. Hopefully means most of my KoM times are valid and not way out :okay:

Bit of a weird one this afternoon. I did the 2.30 WBR 4 Lap flat race - I was in the start pen with all the other riders until with 10 seconds to go, they all disappeared! The timer stayed on but I was all alone for the whole time. The screen showed --/47 so the other riders must have been there, I just couldn't see them.

I decided to do an impromptu FTP test as I couldn't race invisible riders. The good news was my FTP increased by 17 watts - so regained about 2/3 of what I lost.

Very strange though.

I was there too in same race and same thing happened to me. Rode solo for 30 mins before I had enough. So very annoying!

Well done Paul! Blooming strong!

Can you link to your Strava?

Zwift looks like server side issues according to groupnride leaders. Happened in Zsun ride I am doing at mo- logged out and in and we were back together and Monte was there- yay!

I was gutted when I lost everyone, thought it was my internet connection. I carried on with the same pace for a while, then thought I’m out... logged back on and saw Bobinski online. Lol. Nice group ride tonight.

Just completed first ride. Spent the first 15 mins working out what was going on but then started to get the hang of the layout etc,
Managed an hour
I liked the tube ride out to the survey hills
I could t work out the races or activities, so will look at the website recommended earlier.

I use the app on my phone to find races etc. When you select a race/activity via the app and say you're going, you get a reminder to join it within zwift if you start riding around in there before the race is due to start

Thanks @bridgy, I’ll give that a go on Tuesday

I’ve just checked messages on the app and some American well and truly got annoyed by me joining and then leaving, calling me a f’ing dropout, charming!
You wouldn’t get that on bkool :okay:

I think it is a little disingenuous Bkool suggest it's a feature. 'Dead stops' are the equivalent of going over the handlebars then getting back on-like Bob@IOW:biggrin:. With a rocket up your arse for acceleration:laugh:

The only way to definitely say you didn't have the Bkool fairy dust help is to try a Neo, Atom, Kickr, powertap or other power meters

You cheeky bugger! I went down sideways ^_^ ( great film)

What I kept quiet was it happened again twice on a recent Kent ride. Just could not get my cleat out of the speed play pedal without quite a violent wrench of the foot sideways. Relubed and mechanism now working fine. Phew.

Paul, that’s a good 40 sec faster than me and I cannot see me closing that gap. Have a you looked at your HR? I think you were going for it!
Yeah I noticed that - I think you're right! Maybe an opportunity to go faster on the bkool then with a bit more effort!

Having said that my HR was particularly high throughout that neo ride at carlo's which I put down to some extent to the fact I his fan is much less powerful than mine and I was definitely over-heating. Probably a bit of both

Less "superb" and more xx( I reckon!

And my second ascent of that hill on lap 2 of the race on the Neo was a minute slower, but I still averaged 175bpm even on that one - my HR was unusually high that day :heat:

Weird today, first block of TR felt ridiculously easy on the legs whilst suffering from 'Doms' after leg workout on the weekend..

I might be getting stronger:smile:

Edit, subsequent blocks felt bloody hard
