It's that bad then
Apologies for hijacking the spitters thread, I’ll be off back now...![]()
The one that the iPad at the store told me to get: http://tempocykler.dk/sadler-64/specialized-power-comp-p379
digitised, digitized I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Did I make a fool of my self yet again.
TBF @TurboTommy getting PBs when you're in a fast moving group on Zwift is fairly easy. I had loads of PBs; at one point i was cruising on a flat section at 50kph as I was in a draft with 20+ other riders. Couldn't get anywhere near that speed on my own!I’m a bit lost on that one too!. Maybe I’m being a bit slow... it has been known
.
Lots of pb’s all round today I see from a brief look on strava. I bet the adrenaline was pumping hard! Well done again guys., hard work paying off all around
It’s testament to zwift that it can host a race with so many riders it really is. To think when they did the nations cup on BKOOL they were worried a few observers could crash the whole system!
For me, on the flatter sections, it felt fairly easy to cruise at speeds I would normally need to push hard to reach and couldn't hold for very long. May differ for others, but for me it felt not too hard. I bridged across groups a couple of times and that felt so much harder, losing the draft and pushing on my own. Once back in the pack I could drop 100 watts and still be going the same kind of speed.I wouldn't say it was easy Carl. Sure the speed can be held longer, but eventually you need the watts to stay there in the pack. I tend to look at the watts for a long segment to see if was drafted. Also the strava header indicates a race. It's true you can gain some impressive speed in a pack, like today I got within 40 secs of Bob then when dropped I lost over 4 mins whilst Bob hung onto his group
i am going outside - i maybe some time !
thought it was better than a![]()
Until last year I did a real life race series where each race was pretty much like the Trade Team Worlds.
We would typically avg. 38-40 kph for the 2 hours of racing.
I managed to get a BePro power pedal reading from one of the races and it registered about 260 watt avg. and 1000 and someting watt peak.
That avg. was because I got too much wind on my nose in that race. I think I read somewhere that in the best spots in a TDF peleton, you only needed just over 200 watts.
Looking at your rides at Strava it looks like Bob was a master drafter, while all others spent too much energy.
