I cancelled the order. Got fed up with the continual failure to meet dates. Spent the money on the SystemSix instead - well my very good lady's money
i did wonder if you'd got the SystemSix in place of the Neo. With Summer coming I can't say I blame you. Very frustrating waiting for that bike. You thinking of getting a normal wheel off trainer like a Neo 2 or Kickr later in the year, or will you try the bike again (assuming it gets released)?

Might have a final pop at stage 4 today at 5 o'clock. Not expecting much as legs really feeling it from my long ride yesterday, but I think it's worth the attempt. If I can work hard early to get in a good group, and have enough in the legs for the 2 climbs, and I get no drop outs, I may get sub 43  Lots of 'ifs'

I may join you at 5pm if I’ve finished the garden chores today. I’ve not been motivated to get onto the turbo this week but do need to get stage 4 done

Well, tried to do the stage 4, but I just can't find the motivation for these indoor rides anmore. The deathblow was when Spotify decided to skip my Coldplay playlist and play some finish pop music. It was just horrible  (sorry JuhaL)

I miss you Lars!

I went out for a ride with Bob this morning and I was saying to him how nice it was to race with someone all the way to the line.

I can’t blame you for getting outside though. The weather isn’t very good here so it’s kept me on the turbo more than I usually would this time of year.

Is Coldplay motivational because it makes you want to finish the ride quicker?

I've got an 85bpm playlist that I listen to indoors and sing in my head outdoors and I must admit Coldplay would make me want to stop riding too

To be honest I have been quite happy on a basic dumb turbo. I don't get the resistance change of a smart turbo but as I've never had it, I don't really miss it. I liked the idea of the smart bike so both me and Wendy could use it and no faffing with bikes or wheels on and off. I'll wait and see if the bike comes out soon and see how I feel then.

Well, I like Coldplay. Anyway, what Spotify suddenly decided to serve me, was a strange 70s like German schlager with Finnish lyrics - very bizarre.

Well done Pete. Didn't get anywhere near you once the flag went up

I did however set a new fast time for that stage - 42:54 ...... 6 seconds inside my target. Couldn't beat @bobinski 's time, but I did take a few other scalps on that stage :wahhey: Set a few PBs too, which is nice  Not bad considering 3 1/2 hours on the bike yesterday :training:

Edit: I did the race at 100% realism. I knew I could climb the KoMs with large front ring and middle rear at 100%, so I figured I'd try this in a race. I might do this more frequently.

I’ve only done it once. Sure I could knock a minute off now.

Had a day off today, properly lazy lounging day. Getting back on the bike tomorrow to do the long ride from the training plan, but as a free ride (then hit "I did it"). Looking for a fairly hilly 50m route and 2 laps of the big loop will give me roughly 4250 feet of climbing which is nearly 1000 more than my Dales sportive. Will also do a U-turn after the 1st lap so I'm climbing both sides of the KOM.

Looking on Zwift, I was expected to do the long ride by tonight. What happens with me going over my time slot? Does it shift everything back a day or will I always be a day behind now, and would that actually matter? Possibly happened because I started it on a Thursday and Zwift thought that was so crazy it had a meltdown!

Whilst messing around on Zwift, I was also looking at my garage. I have a fairly good selection of bikes and wheels now. Do you guys change parts around for different rides much? I'm thinking about my set up for the long ride. I usually ride my Trek Madone with zipp 808's but I'm thinking if it's worth it to switch to a climbing set up for the KOM. There is a fair amount of climbing.

If I'm switching what would you suggest? Have my Madone with 808's, also have zipp 202 wheels, I think envy wheels too.. Cannondale Evo frame and the Emonda too.. Is there actually going to be much of a draft bonus at Midday on a Monday so what about my Specialized Shiv TT bike with climbing wheels? So many options and actually very little Zwift information or guides on when to use these!

I must admit 95% of my riding is on the Tron bike but... if I was doing repeated Alpes I'd probably switch to the Madone with the Lightweight Meilenstein wheels (assuming that's still the best combo).

The only time I've brought the S-Works TT thingy out was to test it on the new Fuego Flats course. It was the day it opened and it was so busy I'd have been better off drafting on the Tron bike. If, however, I was going to grind out a steady state effort on the TT course then I probably would switch. I would also probably then forget to switch back to the all-rounder Tron and end up starting Stage 5 of the ToW on a non-drafting bike

Chris Pritchard's done some testing videos of the best combos for Cycling Hub on youtube. I'm gutted I didn't buy a disc wheel while we all had the chance.

I change frames and wheels on Zwift every now and then. I do that more like change my avatars appearance than real effects. My daily physical condition changes enough that i don’t feel that i have much benefit about what frame or wheels i select. If i ride barely 1min faster a certain course with so called faster bike then that is not a improvement i am lookin for. But they give nice visual candy.
