One thing at a time. I really just wanted to turn my PC on find the ride I wanted and ride it.
But I guess the app is like the BKool Leagues Web Site.
Welcome @AAAC 76C ! I've requested to follow you on Zwift companion app - if you follow me I'll be able to invite you to our mett up races. I know you can't make Thursdays at 7pm which is a shame, but we'll probably try and set up alternative day/times for races too so hopefully you can join in with some of those when we do.

If you have any questions, you know where to ask!!

Dah Dah!

' AAAC Cyclechat' now with Zits.
First name = ' ' (space bar)
Surname Is the rest.

Not sure my account recognises I have signed up to pay yet but I have connected my trainer HR and cadence a given my self a nice hairdo, tan, a fancy orange shirt and no socks.

I logged into a ride but didn't really select it. Now I just need to be able to find all of you that ride on a Tuesday or Monday or Wednessday.
I am going to carry on with the Cyclechat league at 5 on Saturday until I decide to get off of the fence.
First try of turning the pedals made me feel like the changes were less reactive than Basin but only time will tell.
Good to see that spectators even move in Zits, I am sure that is going to be a real plus point.

Welcome. Very catchy name

Cool, I've negotiated with the boss and I'm now okay for this one

Looks quite tough.
Yeah it's going to be a toughie, but I notice none of us have done this particular route before so it will be PRs all round!

As an aside, I notice the guy who has the Strava KOM for the segment averaged 10.25w/kg for an hour, which would make him a) superhuman and b) about 30kg in weight. Sounds legit!

I rode the first 17km, the flat bit again last night and it is strangely sapping. I think this is largely because there are no lumps to apply a bit more power/get out of the saddle to get over. I hope to be there tonight if i can get home in time.

My sense of direction has always been terrible... Sounds like it’s best if I let someone else take the lead and I’ll sit in behind and shout words of encouragement. Any volunteers? :hugs:

The profile looks quite bumpy, so its flat to the main climb? climb is 2 miles long

Volcano climb will be 8 or 9 mins, so a little 'punch'. Only a few sections that are decent % gradients, even some flatish bits. Quite a lot at about 3% if memory serves me well. It's one I quite like as I can push on up

I speak from experience-no one let him sit on your wheel: anything could happen!

Fingers crossed - the more the merrier. If there's a few of us in the ride tonight we should be able to form a nice little drafting group until @berty bassett drops us all on the big climb!

Hmmm I tried very hard to do this last time we had a zwift race with a flat start leading to a scary hill - with very limited success! I never learn though so...:banghead:

To be fair it’s a long old stint by the looks of it. And I’m bloody knackered already so I won’t be making any grand declarations of intent for tonight! But it would be nice if we got a little group going. Time will tell...
