Updated league table including all rides over the long weekend. Let me know if anything is missing/incorrect.

@AAAC 76C - If you fancy joining the league just add yourself to ZwiftPower so we can see your times (join the CycleChat team). With your reputation I reckon you'll be keeping Alan company in Cat A.

If the weather forecast is correct I may do Stage 5 at 5pm or 6pm. Otherwise I'll put in a couple of hours steady rw riding. Stage 5 looks a quick one!

If I can work out all of this interconnected stuff in Zwift Land.
Done one ride and played around with my hairstyle a bit but not managing any success with Strava and have not tried Zwift Power.

zwiftpower is a different site { nothing really to do with zwift officially ) but when you sign up to it and link it to zwift , it takes all your results in races and logs them so you can see them , also if you join team cyclechat it will give you positions in the team and make it easier for pete to give league results
seems like a lot to do but its not really , think you have to do so many races before it all kicks in ( cant remember how many )not many though - and by then you should be made your mind up anyway whetther you like it or not - how did you get on the other night ? personally i like the meet ups better , but thats another day

It’s easier to set up strava on the lap top rather than the phone aaac. Then you have to link it to Zwift. Like Berty says. Once you’ve done all this it becomes a lot more straight forward. You just basically race and they work out the rest amongst themselves.

AAAC as Tommy says, once Zwift is linked to Strava and you've joined Zwift power.com, it all just works seamlessly You really need to complete ZP and Strava, else Zwift becomes a non recording workout

Back from an amazing Everest base camp trek , nearly three weeks off the bike. Did 9:00 am Stage 5 this morning , managed to stay with first 20 for first 10 km then slipped back a bit , rode with 4 other riders and a large pack caught us with a few km to go. Could definitely tell I’ve not done any high intensity stuff for a bit, @peterob 28:51 on Zwift power results.

Little write up of a 62km race I did yesterday. I was using this as a long training session more than a race so the result itself was less important to me. As such, out of 157 riders on the road I was in 120th out the pens by the time we got to the start/finish banner on Upper Thames Street. I slowly moved through the field, working with little groups and picking off fast starting / slower riders so that by the time we hit the start banner on the Mall I was around 100 and in a group of about 10 riders. As the laps progressed (5 x 10km) we dropped some, and gained others, and lost the wheel of 2 much stronger riders. I wasn't feeling massively strong as I'd stressed myself a lot the previous day on stage 5 of ToW but was OK in the group. With 1.5 laps to go it was just me and one other guy (D cat in the race but clearly not really a D cat!), with another B cat chasing on. We tried to drop each other a few times but I don't think either of us were trying too hard. Coming through the Piccadilly under pass I surged up the hill and gained 6 seconds on him; there was still a lap to go so I expected him to get back on (I coasted down to St James Palace) but at least this told me I could climb better than him which I could use in the final lap.

He had caught me by the finish banner on the Mall and the chaser caught us the other side of Green Park going up to Parliament Sq. From there to Harrods we were playing cat and mouse; each one doing a quick surge to see if we could drop the others, letting gaps form then sprinting away to drop the 3rd rider. Really good fun (well for me anyway, I bet the other 2 thought I was being a twunt ). I guess they were both expecting me to attack as soon as we came out the underpass but i sat on their wheels instead. 1/2 way up there is a flatter section, as they were reducing power into this I went to 5 w/kg and held about 4 until the top and into the descent to St James. I gained about 10 seconds but I continued to attack down the descent and along Pall Mall. I could see they were both chasing hard and the gap closed slightly. As I came into Trafalgar Sq I used my aero PU and put in a bit more power and this pulled me clear and I could then see they were giving up.

In ZP I came 17/17 (there were 30 starters in B and only 23 finishers on the road). I only average 2.9 w/kg over the 1hr 40 mins. but still, really enjoyed that and it was a good workout.

A good opportunity to try some different race tactics - and a decent workout.

My aim going into the race was to find a good C group and sit with them for 100 minutes and not work too hard, but just didn't happen that way. kind of better in the end as I did get a good workout and gave me some ideas for future racing. Had I still been in C cat I'd have come 4th so even though I wasn't working too hard and got trounced by the B's (as expected in such a long race) I didn't actually do too badly.

I did the new Tempus Fugit course last night for the first time in the Kiss EU 8pm tine trial race. The ToW times weren’t suiting.
Only 10 riders signed up. I was in my usual flap to get ready for the race - laptop issues didn’t help but nonetheless got on the start line with 3 mins to spare. Realising just as the race started that I had forgotten my water bottle and forgot to plug in the fan I knew it was going to be a tough 10 miles with 3 mile lead in. :heat:

Anyways I settled into a threshold effort leading for the first mile then slowly getting outpaced by an A+ cat guy and holding off another by around 13seconds the who distance which was great motivation and held onto second with a time of 24:01 on the Zwift verified sector averaging 331w.

Looking forward now to a crack at the ToW and getting some draft.

Knowing how hard I worked for my time, and knowing you did it on a TT bike, is both very impressive and very depressing in equal measure. Well done sir!
