A few more Stage 6 results yesterday so I've updated the league table. Another strong ride by @berty bassett last night keeps him out in front, and with a hilly final stage to come, Lee must be feeling quietly confident.. Surely only over-confidence or a mechanical can scupper the pint-sized climbing magician now? Lots of close battles throughout, so keep pushing to the end and gain some bragging rights.

Not sure when I'll do stage 6, With the weather having been so good and legs still tired from the DD, I've not been tempted to get on the turbo this week yet. I may try it later today but first need to fix my setup after the shelf in my garage collapsed that I had affixed my Zwift TV to (screen is cracked, but hopefully still works)

Tommy, I think the best way to avoid the problem last night would be to just make sure you select the event on the companion app well before you start up Zwift and don't leave it to the last minute. As others have already said, when I do this I never have a problem. I sometimes select more than one event on the app in advance if I'm not sure what time I'll ride, and then de-select the one(s) I won't do when I know nearer the time.

What happened in that meet-up was very odd though as I could see you had accepted the invite well in advance. We have had a couple of glitches with meet-ups so hopefully that's all it was and it was just unlucky it happened to you again!

Yes I agree with all of this. I drew pretty much the same conclusion.

It does seem like a glitch that’s worth highlighting though. Last night for example I only decided when I saw lee was racing at 6 I’d try to make that race. So then everything becomes last minute... In ideal circumstance with foresight I’d of pre joined a couple of races. And in future I’ll avoid joining via the app after logging in.

As for the meet up who knows... but the system clearly isn’t without bugs.

A word of warning to those who have not done stage 6. I will be doing my attempt later today. If yo value your current position in the league I'd make sure you get it done before the league is updated. You may lose several places on the max time for each stage

I get the impression some of you haven’t encountered the specific problem I had last night before. I can assure you it is very frustrating when it happens and you’ve tried everything you can. I have a feeling it’s a combination of poor internet connection and late registration via the app, after you have loaded up Zwift.

I have seen something similar, where I've set to join a ride in the App during the day. Log onto to Zwft, but the 'Join Now' button doesn't show on the screen as I'm riding. I expect the button to pop up with about 15 mins to go (usually even before that). If I don't get the button, I'll go back into the phone App (I don't quit out of Zwift) - in the App I click on the Event again (to effectly not attend the event), then re-tick the button to attend the event. Every single time I've done this the button to join the event has instantly popped up in Zwift.

Happened about 5-10 times where the jon now button hasn't show ... the solution above to fixe has been 100% successful.

Not sure what causes the bug, but as I have the phone and App with me when I ride on Zwift it's no biggy to sort this out when it happens.

It might be a bug, but I never have Zwift running whilst trying to select a race/event. Maybe that is the issue?

Don't think that's the issue. I'll happily be in Zwift riding, then in the App select an event and it pops up on the screen fine.

I've done about 800 zwift events and don't ever recall not getting the 'Join Event' button while warming up beforehand.
If you don't get a pop up on screen with 30 mins to go I'd leave event in the companion app then rejoin event initially. That should work, but if not, rebooting zwift will probably work.

I'm planning to re-do stage 6 this weekend, hopefully without HID having an emergency and me subsequently losing a good minute or more in time (you watch, I'll have no issues next time, mess up my pacing completely, and have a much worse time )
