Is there anything wrong with switching allegiance to Roglic? Cant see anyone catching him in the Giro, he's in such good form this year on the back of last years excellent performances.

The 'also rans' will need to go full bore, risk all to try and break him.

Yeah - hopefully it will mean some more exciting racing in the last week (tbh the Giro doesn't seem to have really got going yet). The likes of Yates, Landa and Lopez will have to go on the attack to break Roglic and overtake Nibali.

Some more ToW stage 6 results posted over the weekend so I've updated the league table. Didn't quite manage to get on the turbo myself so I'll have to do the Stage on the catchup days if I can.

There's another 2 pan-flat days coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday before some hills finally on the horizon on Thursday. I wonder if many of the sprinters will suffer through the mountains after Wednesdays stage, apart from Ackermann who looks to have the ciclamino jersey in the bag already??

Roglic's biggest risk now is he is ahead of all his GC contenders, so they could work together to attack his team and isolate him. He will have no allies so is vulnerable. If, say, Nibali, was within 20 seconds then BarMed may help him, but as it is he has a very large target on his back. Could be a very interesting second week in the mountains - when the attacks start, his team are going to have to work very hard to close them down!

I'm not so sure that he can be caught. I don't think there is anyone in the peloton this year that can do a 'Froomey', and attack hard enough on the big mountain stages to take pink, which is always assuming that the big mountain stages are not neutralised due to heavy snow. The other thing to remember is that stage 20 is yet another time trial, Roglic is so much stronger than all the other GC contenders.

Of course 3 weeks is a long time in a tour, look how well Yates was doing in the first two weeks last year, and who can forget Kruiswik. The thing about the Giro is that it doesn't normally get started until mid way through week two. I think it's going to be interesting

Thanks again for doing this- can I have 29.01 for stage 5 time? Think I did it a bit late in the week.

Giro has been pretty dull GC wise. Only hope for any action is that roglic has been in top form for ages now and might fade, if he can keep it up in the third week it will be incredibly impressive and will surely be the first GT of many. But the idea of everyone else attacking in the mountains is going to be great.

Looking to have a pop at the 17km Greater London race at 15:15 if anyone fancies joining me. Quick blast to clear the lungs. Will do a 30 min warm up and a 30 min warm down, to get 90 mins of riding in :okay: Quite a small number of riders signed up so far, so could end up like a ITT if wheels are lost

Feck, feck, feck !!!!!! NEO2 has gone capooot :cursing: Horrible grinding noise. Thought it was gears catching at first so checked they looked to be indexed ok. Thankfully still have the Kickr - put bike on there and no noise, so definitely the NEO  Let's see how good Tacx customer service is.

Anyone else heard of other NEOs going the same way?

Yes, but Campenaerts bike change at yesterdays TT ... now that was entertaining  For Christ's sake, the mechanic was pushing Campenaerts butt while he was running beside the new bike, and stopped pushing when he finally jumped on . Poor Campenaerts couldn't click in because it was at the beginning of the climb. Finally a spectator gave him a push so he could click in but he lost more than 11 seconds there.

Yes. Checked on there earlier and someone else posted a video of similar issue. Have raised a ticket with Tacx and they want a video. Will do this tomorrow and see what they say. Must say, not too pleased given the cost of these trainers!
