When you planning to update ZwiftIām on a new diet plan and I thought Iād recommend it to you guys.
Basically you can eat as many mince pies and biscuits as you like. The secret is: Donāt weigh yourself, and just decide for yourself how much weight youāve lost. Itās early doors, but so far tonight Ive lost 2kg and Iāve eaten four mince pies, some weird star biscuit things the missus has bought, and I just cracked open my second beer.
Tomorrow Iām going out for drinks and a meal and I fully intend to lose another 3kg at least!
(This method may have mixed results...)

Where are you thinking of everesting? I see some people have done slieve croob and stormont (most work anyone's ever done there...) believe it or not! Or maybe you have your eye or somewhere a bit more exotic
My friend and I planned an everesting this year on a lovely local hill here in Catalunya, 28reps of a 7km climb at about 4%. However after the half attempt to practice and iron out practicalities I decided that as I had already started to really suffer that I didn't want to suffer for another 8 hours which is what it would have taken. I concluded that my aggressive riding style was not suited to this type of challenge. I think you have to be the type of rider who can spin low gears. If you have any questions ask, I'll happily give you the benefit of what I did learn!
No we didn't have a plan we both regularly ride over 100 miles and regularly do 3000 m of climb on a ride but at it proved its the sheer amount of climbing that is the killer, but the distance or the time. My experience tells me that you need to be the kind of rider who can climb using low twitch muscles with a high cadence and without putting too much of a strain on the legs.I had seen the Slieve Croob efforts but hadnāt seen Stormont hill. Stormont hill would be perfect as itās a nice steady gradient, short, and would have lots of public as it is popular for tourists, walkers, and joggers (and not so common to see elected representatives š)
but I think there is some additional kudos for being the first person to do a particular hill so I think I will look to find one that hasnāt been done before.
There are some good climbs in the mourne mountains - so Iām going to try and find one that is reasonably close to homeand has a steady gradient rather than ups and downs so not to have many wasted miles.
thanks @keithaitch. I do worry about the length of time on the saddle. The longest bike ride I have done is 120 miles, about 7 hours of riding. Did you have a training plan to build up your endurance?
I don't have a time for you for ToL stage 3 (our stage 4) @Marino.g - there's nothing showing on ZwiftPower for you. Let me know your time and I'll add it to the table
Unless your got eyes in the back of your head and Iāve got a target on front of my shirt I donāt think thatās gonna happen ššÆš
