It was me tonight Carl, fighting a cold and feeling rubbish so just turning the legs over with a stupidly high HR for the effort1:01:36 please @peterob
Good to see a few CCers on there tonight. @kipster (well, I assume Liam) was going well on the circuit in the same group as me. Saw @Brendan Parker too at the bottom of Embankment heading towards Tower Hill. Didn't see Paul or Adam as they were miles up the road
Pleased with that time ... clawing a little more back on the C front runners![]()
Lost 4 minutes to you on that pesky hill. Was in the group behind crossing tower bridge.1:01:36 please @peterob

Good to see you on there Paul. You must be really struggling if I'm in the same group as youIt was me tonight Carl, fighting a cold and feeling rubbish so just turning the legs over with a stupidly high HR for the effort
Didn't realise you'd joined the ride tonight until I saw you on the Embankment. you must have had a fast start.Lost 4 minutes to you on that pesky hill. Was in the group behind crossing tower bridge.
I just can’t race up hills. Great ride mate![]()
Same here, II'm racing at 100% - I seem to get faster times that way, especially where hills are concerned. I find it less 'spinny', so less stress on the heart, and more 'leggy', and I'm a happy grinder![]()
just been playing with the hills around here to try and make 29000 ft - 108 times up the back side of neville holt , the local time trial hill
would give you 108 miles of climbing - of course you would have 108 miles down to get over it - sounds like long day - i moaned when i had to do it twice![]()
Yer was in earlier than I thought so thought I’d rush about and ride at 6 where there would be more taking part. I was in 2 minds go flat out on the flats to try and gain a bit of time and loose them again on the hill. Or save a bit for the hill and go faster up the hill?Didn't realise you'd joined the ride tonight until I saw you on the Embankment. you must have had a fast start.
I could see that big group just behind my group. I was sitting in, resting the legs ready for the climb. Which seemed to work well as I got myself a decent PB on the Keith Hill climb tonight at an average of 242 watts (14:43).
Started the hill in 360th place, and ended in pretty much the same place as I overtook others up the hill, and others came past me!
What I try not to do these days is react to others on the hill - I just get into a steady pace and ignore if others are coming past me. If I start to chase I just blow up!
ha ha - ZP has me at the 1 second faster time ... and I'd hate to go against the official ZP result
