I wonder how hard it is to assign points on sprints though, I don't think it is able to be viewed after the race ends is it? Maybe just 1 sprint and someone screenshots the results?
Yeah, you can't look up prime results after a meetup. You'd need whoever goes over the sprint/KOM last to be the one to screenshot it, otherwise you wouldn't get everyone on the leaderboard. Maybe someone who isn't taking part who just is going to cruise the course to that point?

Talking of that, I do have my recording from last night's race. It won't be very interesting to most of you, as you'll only appear in it for the first 30 seconds or so, but it does show some interesting battles at the back of the pack followed by me solo-ing most of the second lap, then catching Alan in the run up to the line!

Ah, brilliant! I should record as well and then analyse my mistakes.

I actually liked the earlier suggestion of the Innsbruck "2018 UCI Worlds Short Lap" course for the "Climbing" stage. It's a big old climb, but not as huge as the Epic KOM plus radio tower climb. And it's flat until the climb, followed by about 13km of descent plus mostly flat to the finish line. This profile should give a chance for heavier riders to try and chase down better climbers after the climb. My PR for the course is 40 minutes so that's shorter than last night's and everyone should finish within the hour I think.

Also means the time gaps will not be too large if the whole race (for you) is only 40 mins .... 50 for us mortals .... so meas that this stage whilst may dictate the GC, will hopefully still allow for some competition.

I'm in  (I owe @Joffey some revenge as last time on this the bugger rode away from me :ninja: )

That was a great effort to make it back across and beat me at the end Steve. I was Donald Ducked from early in the race and only realised near the finish that I’d forgotten to turn on my fan hence why I was overheating and drenched in gravy.

Must say Al, I did expect you to be on my wheel that race and dropping me at some stage. I was surprised when you didn't make it across with me to the Bs ... but then, no fan!!! Yeah, that would explain it :B)

As for cat splits etc ... I think within just cyclechat we don't need that ... never did in Bkool and makes us all 'equal'.

Really enjoyed the battles last night, trying to hang on for dear life. I worked harder than any C race normally (although still C cat numbers, hope you're all noting  ), so got to be good for the fitness :okay:

I wish you had told me that on lap 1 and I wouldn't have spent the rest of the race marking you and attacking when I was on my arse at the top of the KOM

That's because of all the downhill, the drafting (it would have been daft of you to try driving on the front!), and the fact that you seemed to give up a bit after Michael and I dropped you.

I suspect that if you did a 20-minute climb (especially without drafting), you'd put out solid B numbers, Carl.
