C riders won't have the power I don't think to push the pace, and may be in the red just holding on if pace is high. That should reduce their sprinting chances.
The Bs who are not big sprinters are not going to want to drag you to the line only to have you blast past them over the last 500 metres, so I think it will be up to them to put pressure on the rest of us to nullify the sprint. Yes we'll be wheelsucking for all we have, but anything less will just mean more of us able to contest the final sprint.
I have a decent sprint, so I'm happy with a slow paceJust depends if anyone wants to try and take the power out of my legs (and the other sprinters) before we get to the last 500 metres
But as in a flat stage of any race, it's up to the non sprinters to drop the sprinters (just like in a hilly stage it's up to the sprinters to try and hang on, or breakaway to nullify the climbers advantage on the hills). I'm really looking forward to tomorrow, if only because we may all be there, or there abouts, at the end and that has to be fun and nervy![]()
Let's hope so ..... i have the 3rd best sprint according to ZPI predict an average speed of 15mph with everyone marking everyone out![]()
We have 11 signed up to go so far...

I know who I'll be marking .... and I'm pretty sure that they will be trying to drop me every time someone attacks. Just can't see it being a cosy procession to the sprint start bannerIt being part of a series makes it interesting as well; i can imagine some of the climbers/A riders would be looking to break away together if it was a one-off race but you don't want to end up helping someone else out in the GC stakes, so might mark out each other who knows
You're dreaming if you think I can hold on to the lead group pace, even in a herd draft.
I will do my best to hold on to Andy/Alan/Joffey/Steven and hopefully have a fun battle with at least one of them to the finishRegardless of the result I will definitely enjoy it
Main goal for the race is to practice staying in the pack and getting that cadence up. Ideally 90RPM+
