There is a draft effect? No. I don't like racing on a Tron as you can't see the draft effect

Yes, on a non Tron or TT bike you will see your avatar sit up when he's in the draft of a rider in front of them. In a race I prefer this visual to see when I'm in draft, so tend not to ride the Tron (saying that, I rode the Tron yesterday due to the climbing and aero needs on that course)There is a draft effect?
Yes, you dont see the visual tells with the Tron bike. Like I said to you on your first race, get right behind another rider, your avatar sits up, indicating you're in the draft. There is a draft effect?
Joff, it's a flat course, I think we should use gravel bikes to give them a chanceI think the B riders should use gravel bikes to give us C's a chance...

Just hoping the climbers, who are used to being on their own at the front, don't get confused when they get dropped off the back tonight and think the race is over so they bail![]()
Do you think we can get @bridgy to do a 1 lap lead in?It's gonna be embarrassing when we get dropped on lap 1![]()
Talking of which, @bridgy, can we do the lead in tonight on time rather than distance? We all see something slightly different on distance, even more so if some are in miles and some km. I think some got caught out last week with the 'go' .... just wondering if say a 2 minute (or whatever) lead in is better, with you ramping up the power a notch with 30 seconds to go so that everyone is up to speed by the off and so less chance of being caught out?Do you think we can get @bridgy to do a 1 lap lead in?![]()
I think the problem with distance is we all see something slightly different a) because of where we spawn, and b) some are in km and some in miles. Time (I assume) is always the same for everyone?I said this the other day but the smoothest start. Or at least the start that avoids the potential of different peoples screen showing different time or distances. Is a rolling start with a gradual acceleration after a set distance. Eg, you get to a set distance, at which point the road captain checks to make sure the bunch is relatively tight. He then says the start is on. But no one instantly attacks out of the gate or the captain is at a disadvantage. There’s a reasonable period of respect, say 10-20 seconds, before the race is on no holds barred.

Hmmm, would it be useful to have an independent "starter"?
I would be happy to offer my services, as I'm going to cook a casserole for tea tonight so won't have to go and cook around 20:00 ... I might even be tempted to live stream it for a laugh.
